About Me...

Growing up a curious kid in the suburbs of New Orleans in the 1990s, Jai learned that every building, every person, and every home tells a story. While studying film at the University of New Orleans, Jai seized opportunities in the burgeoning production hub.

After graduation, Jai moved to Los Angeles with a suitcase and Creole seasoning planning to parlay an internship with Disney into a career in television - eventually working on over 200 episodes of TV for CBS, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, Sony, and others. Jai has contributed sketch comedy to iO West, Funny or Die, and the Upright Citizens Brigade, receiving the coveted diversity scholarship.

While life in LA has led her to appreciate boba and food truck tacos, Jai still remains true to her Southern roots refusing to give up gluten.

As a Writer...

Jai has written multiple episodes of television and gained firsthand experience on productions such as Chuck Lorre’s Mom, Disney Channel’s Raven’s Home, Act Your Age starring Kym Whitley, Tisha Campbell, and Yvette Nicole Brown, and others.

In 2023, Jai was nominated for an Emmy Award along with the writing staff of Raven’s Home for Writing For A Preschool or Children’s Live Action Program.
